The company also announced that the number of its active customers has risen over the mentioned period. The corresponding figure increased by 25%. The company currently serves 11.4 million consumer and business clients.

The firm’s revenue from the operation of its money transfer platform for the first half of the 2025 fiscal year was recorded at 591.9 million pounds. This indicator increased by 19% year-on-year.

On Wednesday, the value of Wise shares rose by 8% shortly after the f the London market opened.

The company is currently cooperating with Standard Chartered to power the bank’s cross-border payments offering for retail customers.

Gautam Pillai, head of fintech research at investment bank Peel Hunt, said during a conversation with reporters about optimism regarding Wise. According to the expert, the company’s increased direct connections to global payment systems and lower foreign exchange costs have helped it lower its cost of goods sold and, ultimately, to increase its margins.

This year, Wise issued a sales warning. Against this background, the company’s shares fell by 21%.

In June, Wise predicted 15-20% growth in its earnings in fiscal year 2025. It is worth noting that the corresponding figures increased by 31% for the fiscal year ended in March.

The company is on track to achieve an underlying profit before tax (PBT) margin of 13% to 16% in the medium term.
