US-based fintech company Transact Campus, focused on financial technology solutions for students, has partnered with the retail giant Amazon to enable innovative unmanned shopping experience across college campuses.

The integration of Amazon Just Walk Out technology and Transact Campus card system, mobile ordering app and Cloud POS solution creates a perfect mix to allow students, teachers, and other verified shoppers?with a university account to eliminate checkout lines and automate their purchases at self-service stores.

To enter the stores located across campuses,?customers should scan their unique QR codes. The smart technology combination from both firms involved will detect what shoppers take from or return to the shelves.

As long as the shopping is done, the credentials stored in the clients’ Transact Mobile Ordering account will be used to pay for the items purchased in such shops.

Meanwhile, a dedicated?Cloud POS solution will facilitate product catalogues, inventory, and reporting for vendors.?Transact Mobile Ordering tool will unlock stored payment profiles, tender selection, tender discounts and taxes, in-app receipts, user segmentation, and transaction recovery, among other features.

Besides, the integrated shopping solution will help merchants?utilise their staff efforts more effectively and provide valuable business insights.

Transact will start the roll-out of the Just Walk Out technology integrations in the coming months for early-adopter campuses that are already using Transact Mobile Ordering service. The innovation?will be introduced to additional campuses later this year.

Previously, Transact launched NFC contactless mobile IDs for college students which enabled them to make Google Pay purchases around college campuses on their Android phones. Meanwhile, Transact’s?International Payments option addresses another issue immigrants may face, helping students from over 162 countries conveniently pay for their purchases in 134 currencies.
